Scary Tales are the newest dark release from Mezco Toyz, creator of the famous--or infamous—Living Dead Dolls. Fairy tales, especially those written by the Grimm Brothers, were not written to be happy stories for children; they were frightening tales intended for adults. Therefore, Mezco has created the Scary Tales line to present these classic characters portrayed in a more… "accurate" way.
This Scary Tales figure is Little Red Riding Hood from the tale of "Little Red Riding Hood." Red is a mixture of naughty and nice, wearing a laced-up, mini-skirt dress, cape, and knee-high black boots. She looks like a pin-up girl. Little Red Riding Hood comes with a creepy monster double-tree base with an owl in the trees. Red’s accessories include her picnic basket--of course!--and a neat little skull. The figure is packaged in a box that looks like a storybook and opens.
Each articulated action figure is greatly detailed and painstakingly sculpted to turn the scariest of tales into wicked figures to be collected and enjoyed. The first series of the twisted Scary Tales contains 5 of the best figures from Lewis Carroll’s "Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland" and the Grimm Brothers’ "Little Red Riding Hood."
